Children's Ministry

We have resumed the Kids Connect Children's Ministry during services! Join us at 9:00am for Sunday School for ages 3 through 5th grade, and then stay for our 10:00am worship. Kids Connect for ages 3 through 3rd grade will begin following the Family Ministry Moment in worship.
In the Kids' Corner, families can find reusable bags full of materials for children to use during worship. These bags contain a children's bulletin for the week, blank paper, crayons, a coloring page, as well as quiet fidget toys. Please feel welcome to use these bags to facilitate a good time of learning for all!
Sunday School
Sunday School classes are offered for children from ages 3 years through grade 5 at 9:00am. The focus of thee classes is age-appropriate, religious education that engages children in their growth as children of God.
Nursery
A Baby Comfort Area (located downstairs from the Narthex or outside of the balcony on the 3rd floor) is a place of hospitality for parents who find themselves with unhappy infants/toddlers in worship. Speakers broadcast the worship service, and rocking chairs, a changing table, and toys are available for your comfort. Please visit the Welcome Center in the narthex for directions to the Baby Comfort Areas. Rocking chairs and changing tables are also available in room 311 as well as in the women's bathroom on the lower level across from the elevator.
Scouts
FUMC is proud to have a Cub Scout and a Girl Scout Troop.
Cub Scouts - weekly meetings on Wednesdays at 6:00pm
Girl Scouts - for kindergarten through 8th grade, meetings are on Tuesdays at 6:30 weekly.
Bibles for 4nd graders
Each August, FUMC presents our 4th graders with their own Bibles! We then spend a few weeks learning how to use our Bibles during Sunday School. If your child is in 4th grade (or higher and has not received a Bible from FUMC) please contact the church office to request one.
