LTP has provided early childhood education to the community for over 40 years. Our preschool was established by First United Methodist Church as a nurturing ministry to families in our community. Our goal is to serve an interdenominational community. We strive to teach children to exhibit the loving, caring behaviors associated with Christ's teaching toward themselves, their classmates, and their community.
The mission at Learning Tree Preschool is to create an atmosphere in which children can develop curiosity, independence, self-confidence, social skills through teacher directed and self-initiated activities. This can be done through an age-appropriate curriculum and close family/child/teacher interaction.

Events at Our School
Learning Tree Preschool loves to offer many events throughout the year to not only our families but to the community.

Trunk or Treat
This is an event hosted by the Preschool and FUMC. We have snacks, bounce houses, lots of games, and other fun activities!

Art Show
Art Show is a fundraiser for our Love-A-Child Scholarship, but it is also a display of the children's art throughout the entire year. Each classroom has their own section and the children love being able to show off all their art projects. This is always such a fun night!

Trike - A- Thon
We host this event around the same time as the Indy 500. The kids bring their wagons, trikes, bicycles, or scooters to school and drive them around the racetrack. Every child gets a medal after driving around the racetrack.
Learning Tree Preschool Classes
At LTP our classes are grouped together by age to ensure age appropriate lessons and activities. This grouping allows teachers to tailor your child's learning experience to match their developmental stage, abilities, and interests of children in that specific age range.
Walking 1's to 4 years
9:00-11:30am
In this age range we focus on fostering socialization, language development, fine/ gross motor skills, and sensory exploration. Activities may include art projects, science experiments, group play, storytelling, as well as working on shapes, color, number, and letter recognition. At LTP we like to create a hands on learning experince that will engage every child at every level.
