Junior High & Senior High
How do faith and our relationship with Christ affect my life? In this group the youth struggle with personal issues & current events using the Bible and discussing ways to make the world better. For August and September, the youth will be in South Fellowship Hall for an intergenerational class led by Pastor Lisa and Sarah about those saying in life that are typically attributed to being Scripture, but are not indeed from the Bible. Beginning in October, Junior High class meets in room 316 and Senior High class meets in room 312..

The word confirmation means “with firmness”. For our 7th-12th grade students at FUMC, confirmation means a continuation of their lifelong faith journey. Confirmation classes include an overview of the Christian faith, Scripture, history and heritage, practices, beliefs and commitments as United Methodist Christians. The confirmation class will provide a loving environment in which young persons can explore as well as experience the faith through the Christian community, relationships, spiritual disciplines, service projects and other activities. These classes are offered every other year. 2016-2017 is an off year and Confirmation will resume in August 2017.
7th – 12th graders are welcome to our youth group. There are lots of fun things in store. We meet in room 316 on most Sunday nights (5:30-7:30) August – May for a fantastic night filled with fun, food, friends & finding out more about God, Jesus, the Church & YOURSELF! Bring a friend!
