Flood Relief

       Dear friends in Christ,

Our neighbors, and many we do not know personally, have been affected by the recent flooding in Columbus. Through this website we want to keep you informed with the relief efforts AND to encourage your volunteerism in assisting these individuals and families...

Update -

Susan Scales, daughter of Bob and Delores Niemoeller of this congregation, is now the assistant case manager for flood relief at United Way.  Susan and husband Monty have relocated to Columbus from the Gulf Coast where they have spent the past three years as missionaries with Convoy of Hope in the rebuilding from hurricane Katrina's destruction. They are eager to help Columbus get back to pre-flood status and, with their skills and your prayers, will make a significant difference in the lives of flood survivors.  Susan is currently training, advising, and assigning case managers for each flood family with rebuilding needs and is seeking more volunteers to train for case management.  If you have some time to volunteer for this important task, phone Susan at 812-219-5738.

Rebuilding Columbus One Meal at a Time - Local restaurants are coming together to raise funds for flood victims. Proceeds are being donated to the Ecumenical Assembly and all the funds are being used to purchase building supplies for flood victims. Please patronize these restaurants and help your community rebuild.
