LTP's curriculum provides
children opportunities to learn in an environment that incorporates
dvelopmentally appropriate materials and activities. Children's
social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language growth are
the focus of group activities and interest centers. The curriculum
will include hands-on activities to challenge the children to
experience and explore their surroundings as they learn to develop
their large and fine motor skills, to interact with each other,
to express themselves, to think on their own, and to be creative
in their work and play.
Literacy, math, science,
social studies, and the arts are explored in a variety of age-appropriate
experiences.
Flexible activities allow
children to learn and grow at their own pace. The overall
goals of the curriculum are that the children will know they
are special, that they can learn more about whom they are, and
that learning is fun and never-ending.
Spiritually, we present
Christian values and introduce children to stories of Christianity,
as well as stories of other faiths and traditions.
The classroom activities
are based on LTP's philosophy and goals, utilizing The Creative
Curriculum as a basis. |
